Workshop and Site Visits for Jababeka, Indonesia’s Environmentally Friendly Township Developer.

In collaboration with Surbana Corporation, Singapore’s township and development company, an educational workshop and sites visits were organized for Jababeka. Jababeka is Indonesia’s environmentally friendly township developer which has key operational activities spanning across 7 divisions, namely: Industry, Residential, Commercial and Business, Infrastructure and Estate Management, Construction, Golf & Country Club and Education.

SIF Technologies introduced the flagship rainwater harvesting system that is being implemented in Singapore’s first platinum award housing project. Representatives from Jababeka also had the opportunity to visit the fish farm of Singapore’s leading fish producer who has witnessed notable success with SIF’s solutions.


SIF Technologies in Collaboration with Sembcorp Marine and Memiontec to Develop the First Chemical Free Ballast Water Treatment System in Singapore

The official MOU signing ceremony on 1 August 2008 marks SIF Technologies’ research collaboration agreement with Sembcorp Marine, Memiontec and the Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Marine Technology Centre of Innovation to develop the region’s first chemical free ballast water treatment system. Under the support of SPRING Singapore, the 4 parties will be working closely to design and construct a working prototype of the system for various stages of testing. The collaboration would have great significance as new regulations from the International Maritime Organization will require all newly built vessels to be fitted with a ballast water treatment system before discharging it.



Singapore International Water Week Sees SIF Technologies Forge International Partnerships

The Singapore International Water Week is a high profile event that was held from 23 to 27 June 2008 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is a global platform that aims to bring together policy makers, industry experts and practitioners worldwide to address the key challenges facing the world and showcase water technologies. Among the key sponsors for this prestigious event are global companies, such as Asahi Kasei, Salcon, Siemens and United Engineers.

As one of the key enterprises supported by SPRING Singapore, SIF Technologies was invited to take part in this event at the SPRING Pavillion where SIF had the opportunity to showcase the application of its key technology in the Eco-Environmental sector. The most notable application was the use of Cavitation technology in chemical free rainwater harvesting system for a public housing development project in Singapore as well as the showcase of the rainwater harvesting system prototype in collaboration with United Engineers.



SIF Technologies Invited to Take Part in 1st Asia Cup Koi Show

SIF Technologies was invited to participate in the inaugural Asia Cup Koi Show from 2 to 4 May 2008. With participation from more than 10 Asian countries, this is the biggest show in Asia. During the event, SIF Technologies had opportunities to showcase our proprietary technology to Koi enthusiasts and breeders. Our technical managers also shared valuable professional advice on the topics of Quality Water Management, Nitrogen Cycle and Overcoming the Effects of Ammonia as well as Overcoming Problems of Algae and Bacteria Control.


Opportunities to Contribute to Environmental Management in Vietnam

During the Environmental Management Conference in Vietnam organized by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), SIF Technologies shared its expertise and experience in developing environmental management projects. Promising Singapore companies were invited to attend the conference together with representatives from SPRING Singapore. The conference allowed industry players to understand the latest technologies and best practices and created opportunities for private companies to interact with Vietnamese officials.


SIF Technologies Explores New Partnerships in Hawaii

SIF Technologies was invited to attend a study mission trip on Environmental Management in Hawaii. Mr Matthew Tan, managing director of SIF Technologies, shared with other participants and Hawaii State government officials regarding SIF’s technology and experience in environmental management projects. Site visits to local environmental management companies were conducted. Representatives from SIF Technologies also explored potential partnership opportunities and possibilities of implementing joint projects.

Sri Lanka Minister for Special Projects,, Mahinda Wijesekera M.P.and government officials visited SIF Technologies' corporate headquarters in Singapore to explore environmental engineering solutions provided by the company. Mr Matthew Tan, Managing Director and Dr Paul Sene, Director of SIF Technologies were present to welcome our honoured guests from the Sri Lanka government.


SIF Technologies Represented In Japan APO Venture Business Forum

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) was first established in 1961 as a regional intergovernmental organization. Its purpose is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of Asia and the Pacific through enhancing productivity. The APO Venture Business Forum was organized in Osaka, Japan to develop and strengthen new and venture businesses through the sharing and exchange of experience and information among stakeholders.

Mr Matthew Tan, Managing Director of SIF Technologies, was invited to participate in the event with Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING). During the event, Mr Matthew Tan had the opportunity to introduce SIF Technologies’ environmental engineering services to foreign business managers and build overseas partnerships


SIF Technologies Initiates Trial with Pepsico International in Vietnam
September 2007

SIF Technologies conducted a joint project in the production facilities of Pepsico International-Vietnam at Ho Chi Minh City. PepsiCo is an international leader in convenient snacks, foods and beverages, with revenues of more than $39 billion and over 185,000 employees worldwide. The aim of the trial was to determine the effectiveness of SIF’s solutions on the plant’s operations efficiency. Initial evaluation results proved to be positive and the trial is in process of translating into a full-scale programme.


Introducing SIF Technologies in Global Entrepolis @ Singapore 2006

SIF Technologies was one of the participating companies in Global Entrepolis @ Singapore 2006. GES 2006 comprises a multitude of events including conferences, an exhibition, networking tool and sessions, and ceremonial events. It connects businesses around the world by offering delegates, participants and exhibitors opportunities to forge partnerships, secure funding, share expertise and network.

Mr Matthew Tan, Managing Director of SIF Technologies was invited to give a presentation on the company’s patented technology in the conference. During the exhibition, SIF Technologies was also honoured to have the opportunity to introduce SIF’s environmental engineering services to Mr S Iswaran, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore.


Interzoo 2006 in Germany
May 2006

SIF Technologies was invited to participate in Interzoo 2006. It is a bi-annual event in which pet suppliers all over the world will congregate to share information on latest range of food, grooming aids, pet accessories and services in an exhibition space of 78,900 square metres. 34,181 trade visitors from 108 countries attended the 29th Interzoo. Other than Germany with 321 companies, the major exhibiting nations were the People’s Republic of China with 160, the USA with 129 and Italy with 100 companies.

SIF Technologies was presented with this opportunity to launch and introduce our technology to clients on an international platform. Our unique water management solution aroused the interest of a leading exporter of fishes in Germany and our DPA system was installed in their premises.


SEEDS Enterprise Ceremony in Global Entrepolis @ Singapore

SIF Technologies was one of the promising Singapore companies to be awarded the SEEDS Enterprise fund from Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). This attests to our huge market potential. Businesses with innovative or intellectual content, high growth potential and scalability for the international market will qualify for this award. Our founder and director, Dr Paul Sene represented SIF Technologies to receive the award from Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, then Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports & Second Minister for Trade and Industry during the ceremony in Global Entrepolis @ Singapore 2004.
